As of Jan, 19th 2016, the French cosmetics and perfumes retailer opens up business in Switzerland, as a “shop-in-shop” in Manor’s department stores.
Founded in 1969 and currently part of French luxury conglomerate LVMH, Sephora arrives in Geneva, adding Switzerland to the list of 32 Countries where it already has a presence.
On January, 19th, it has opened the first “shop-in-shop” inside of Manor’s department stores in Geneva, one of the 64 department stores owned by the Swiss retailer across Switzerland.
The shop-in-shop formula is new for Sephora, that usually has got its own points of sales in other Countries; however, it seems that the Company is going to use this approach in more Countries for its future developments.
In the shop-in-shop approach, the two giants have joined forces, building up a partnership. Inside the department stores, a specific area is dedicated to Sephora exclusive brands:
Made in Sephora, Make Up For Ever, Too Faced, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Lipstick Queen, StriVectin, Tony Moly, Peter Thomas Roth, Vita Liberata, MerciHandy, The Curve, Cellu Cup
Besides those, customers will find also other Brands, though these are not exclusive to Sephora, such as:
Benefit, Nars, Burberry, Sleek, Urban Decay Rexaline, Glam Glow, Foreo e Clarisonic.

To top up its offer, beside the aforementioned products, Sephora will provide also a range of services, such as the Gift Factory, the Sephora’s Make Up Bars and the Brow Bar Benefit.
The partnership between Sephora and Manor is not going to stop with the Geneva point of sale. Lausanne is supposed to follow suit and, in the short term, there will be six Sephora’s shops-in-shop across the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
Right next, the German and the Italian speaking area, where Manor stores are widely present.
In the meanwhile, Sephora Swiss products are available throughout Switzerland via the e-commerce channel, at the website manor.ch.
