There is a leadership change at Kiko. Cristina Scocchia has been appointed as CEO of Kiko Spa, the cosmetics company. Last April, Scocchia left L’Oreal after achieving excellent results because she wanted to try her hand at something different. It has just been announced that her new venture will be with the Percassi group, the owner of Kiko.

Talking about this talented manager is her own resume: 43 years old, originally from Liguria, graduated from Bocconi University, worked for 16 years at Procter & Gamble in managerial positions, then at L’Oreal Italy where she held the positions of CEO and president. Scocchia also sits on the boards of various groups, including Luxottica.
However, what does not emerge from her resume, instead, emerges from an interview conducted with Scocchia for “Il rosa e il grigio,” a project funded by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Family Policies. An interview where Scocchia talks about gender issues, work-life balance, professionalism at work, the importance of being present in the family, and traps that lead women to give up a priori. She does it with competence, based on her lived experience. Scocchia does not give recipes, but with this interview, she can certainly inspire many women. In my opinion, it’s worth listening to until the end.

The Scocchia’s choice seems to fit well with Kiko’s slogan “Be What You Want”. Listening to her speak makes her a de facto testimonial. Taking up her new position, Scocchia declared: “Kiko Milano is a jewel of made-in-Italy cosmetics that I want to contribute to growing even more”. In short, given these premises, Kiko Cosmetics seems to be in good hands. We look forward to seeing what the new management has in store for us consumers in the future.
